up up and away

i'm leaving tomorrow for a week and a half up in the mountains. hopefully the weather will allow to fly into lukla this time so i can head up into the everest region and gokyo for 11 days. i should be back around june 26th if all goes well and i will certainly blog about the experience upon my return. just wanted to let those of you that rely on the blog know that i'd be away on purpose this time and not just because i'm way busy. school ended on friday and i'm going to do this trek before leaving nepal and to unwind. i've heard it's beautiful and not to be missed. i will be taking a friend of mine's adopted nepali brother, if you will...choesang; he'll be my guide and porter. christy will remain in the 'du working the remaining weeks of her contract. eventually, july 13th, we will fly out of kathmandu to start our travels. we may peek back in on a lay over, but will no longer live here and will have all of our things shipped home. gotta run, but wanted to say hi and see you later this month! xo, j
