my older, and i stress 'older' (hee hee) sister, susan sent me prom pictures from her daughter's prom. conveniently, another niece, my brother's daughter, attends the same high school, so they went together. both are graduating this june. susan's daughter, bailey, is in blue. she's my god daughter...she was born a week before my father passed away. both bailey being 18 and my father being gone that long don't seem possible! she's a bright and delightful young lady who will attend aquinas next fall. amanda, my brother paul's daughter, is in brown. she is about 3 months older than bailey and is also very bright and lovely. they both have great personalities, are very cute, fun and easy going. being unable to attend and witness events like this and their graduation is definitely one huge downside of being overseas. i remember them as toddlers, waiting with me at the gate in detroit metro (before security restrictions) until i boarded that long flight to namibia. they were tiny little girls! sigh. time sure does move... love, j
